It's been over a year since my last blog. Not because I have nothing to say. I always have something to say, or more specifically, to write. I have not had the technology. iPad acting wonky, Kindle fire even wonkier, laptop moving at a snail's pace, smartphone screen too teeny. After a weekend with Grace, my iPad works better than before. Not fixed, but working. And yes, she turned 10 a few weeks ago. So, I am hoping to blog regularly again, but if I don't, it's a tech thing.
Of course, the highlight of the past year has been the acquisition of our darling Jax, the smartest, funniest, handsomest pit bull in the entire universe. Months ago, I had planned that my return to the blogosphere would feature him only, and while that may happen at a later date, this one will be mostly catch-up. Another new development is that I am now able to sing in public. And yes, that will get a blog to itself, later.
There are big changes with my work schedule, not of my own doing. My husband is now on disability. We are in a real financial crunch, but somehow surviving. My precious Maria and her husband Chris are now divorced. That was very difficult for me. Grace is smart and sassy, coming into what will be her personality. Funny as can be, older than her years, but still a nutty little squirrel.
As for me, I remain happy. I turned 59 last month. I like it.
I like who I am, I like my own company. I like life.
